The Office provides practical support for the Church and the Parish and its associated activities.
Parish Administrator
The Parish Administrator is the first point of contact for all general enquiries by telephone, e-mail and letter. As well as day-to-day management of the office, the Parish Administrator also assists the Vicar and the Treasurer.
Tasks include gathering information about weddings and baptisms and assembling information for the weekly Bulletin, including preparation of the electronic version and its publication each week in paper form, by e-mail and on the church website. The administrator also publishes the monthly Pewsheets, Prayer Diaries, and any special service booklets, and prints various notices advertising special Services and social events supported by the church .
Church Recorder
The Recorder looks after giving to the church through the Stewardship programme. This involves maintaining lists of those who regularly give to the church by Bank Standing Order and those who give each week using specific numbered envelopes put on the collection plate. In both cases the givers make a Gift Aid Declaration which enables the church to increase the value of the gift by reclaiming Basic Rate Tax. Givers who are not in the regular scheme may also Gift Aid their donation by using a yellow envelope and signing a declaration on the back. The Recorder also manages transaction with the Bank and assists the Treasurer in such things as paying bills.
Our Church Recorder also arranges the refreshments that are served most Sundays after the 10am Service.
Judith Davies: Parish Administrator
I grew up in Stoke-on-Trent, studied History at Nottingham University and lived in Nottingham for some years, followed by a brief stay in Birmingham, before moving to Prestbury in 1999. I am married to Nigel and we have 3 children. I have worked in St Peter’s Parish Office for 3 years.
Pauline Rhoades: Church Recorder
I have lived in Prestbury since 1978 and been involved with St Peter's for approximately 20 years.
Rob and Angela Nuttall: Church Caretakers
We have lived in Prestbury for many years and are employed by the church to perform many of the day-to-day practical support tasks required to keep the church site in good order and running smoothly.
Rob opens and closes the church each day. He also maintains the churchyard to a high standard by such activities as keeping the grass mown, clearing away dead floral tributes left on graves, clearing fallen leaves in Autumn and keeping paths clean.
Angela keeps the interior of the church and the Norman Chapel clean and tidy. Other activities include sourcing flowers for special occasions and drawing up a rota of flower arrangers. Additionally, she keeps the Parish office clean and helps with production and distribution of the weekly Bulletin.
Peter Whitham: Webmaster

I am an Engineer, Project Manager and Information Technology Professional (in that sequence). I am currently working in Java, and in styling and implementing web-based systems, with emphasis on interaction design and accessibility.
I joined St Peter's to sing in the Men and Boys’ Choir, and I am currently the librarian for the Choir. I have a strong preference for Prayer Book services.
I am also the web master for Friends of Cathedral Music [www.fcm.org.uk], helped to set up St Peter’s first website, and have been actively promoting our use of the web ever since.
